Its almost poetic you'll definitely have a blast and feel like you're in Middle Earth. The developers put a lot of heart into it. Thanks man! And no I havent played the previous game, so Im just checking out where the story left of. I'd wager if you played Shadow of Mordor and know the gameplay you'll get 50-60 hours from the base game if you aim for 80% completion ( all quests, most challenges, most outposts and all regions conquered) however this is not counting for the true secret ending (which needs some grinding in siege battles) or the DLC expansions which give you to play even more content as different characters with different skill trees, tactics, orcs, gear etc. The quest lines mid-game are non-linear you can for example focus on conquest, fighting the nazgul or travelling to another region to kill a Balrog. All of the regions are pretty diverse in terms of architecture, environment and orcs. Most of the quests are in 4 regions, the fifth one is just there for challenges and stronger orcs. It's pretty big tbh it has 5 big regions in Mordor, one set near the volcano, one near the sea, another in the snowy mountains, one in minas ithil/morgul, one in the sandy desert. However, note that your armour changes will not reflect during most cinematic cutscenes. End game will yield even more items that are themed with your new found powers. You can also get Celebrimbors stuff by doing challenges and then unlocking his tomb by passing a poetry riddle.

Each gear has a challenge also to let them be upgraded further, for example if you upgrade your epic rarity Numenorean armour it will change appearance from standard to more grandiose shiny version which looks more epic it will get a unique cool name and a quote from the orc you slain.
